Experiential Stations of the Cross will be open 5PM – 7PM and immediately following the 7:30PM Service
Scriptures this Week:
1 Samuel 16:1-13; Psalm 23; Ephesians 5:8-14; and John 9:1-41
We build strong foundations in Christ. For the younger children, we incorporate hands-on activities, singing, crafts and stories. For the youth, we focus more on discussions and service projects to give them a solid foundation for their life-long journey with Christ.
St. Hugh has a wide range of classes available to help in our continuing walk with Christ: Rector's Class, Book Club and a wide variety of Bible Studies are available thoughout the year. Whatever your needs, we can find a time and day that works for you.
Many fellowship opportunities are available throughout the year. Annual Golf Outing, Parish Picinic/BBQ/Fishing, Game Night for Families, and Concerts and Shows are some of the highlights of the yearly fellowship calendar.
Music is a vibrant part of St. Hugh's activities and worship. The music at the 10am service is a blended style of worship with traditional hymns and contemporary music. The choir provides special music selections, anthems and selections throughout the year.
St. Hugh offers a variety of "Special Services" thoughout the year. The Easter Programs & Egg Hunt, Outdoor services and the annual Pet Blessing, offer unique opportunties to worship and to glorify God.
We are committed to helping people who suffer from ailments of the spirit, or those who need physical healing. Whetherit takes the form of a special Taize service or getting together after our regular services. If you are having difficulties in your life...Let us help.
St. Hugh has constructed a special Eucharistic liturgy to support the friends and family of military members and to pray for peace. Military service persons, whose names we've been given, are prayed for by name and are sent birthday cards.
(Retired Episcopal Ladies in Christ's Service) is predominantly a service and fund raising organization. The RELICS have contributed to many local, regional, national and international organizations since their inception.
St. Hugh provides help to the local Elgin community tin a variety of ways. Feeding guests at the soup kitchen, donating food and supplies to the Community Crisis Center and donating to local food banks are some of our favorite programs.
